Frankrijk verbiedt verzending van goud en zilver via de post?

In september 2011 nam de Franse regering al maatregelen om anonieme cashaankopen van goud en zilver te beperken. Sindsdien moet iedere aankoop van edelmetaal met een waarde van meer dan €450 per bankoverschrijving gebeuren. Met de nieuwe wet die sinds 1 juni dit jaar van kracht is wordt ook het per post verzenden van bankbiljetten én edelmetalen aan banden gelegd.

De nieuwe wetgeving is te vinden op deze website, waar onder Hoofdstuk I, artikel D1 van de universele postdienst en de postdienstverplichtingen de volgende tekst staat:

“L’insertion de billets de banque, de pièces et de métaux précieux est interdite dans les envois postaux, y compris dans les envois à valeur déclarée, les envois recommandés et les envois faisant l’objet de formalités attestant leur dépôt et leur distribution.”

Vrij vertaald zegt de wet dat het invoegen van bankbiljetten, munten en edelmetalen in poststukken verboden is. Dat is inclusief verzekerde en aangetekende zendingen zendingen.

Barrière

Door deze belasting op goud te schrappen werd de drempel om fysiek goud te kopen juist drastisch verlaagd!
